What is a realistic scenario for saving Syria?

I wonder if creating the maelstrom was the plan? let's play the national interest game:
-totally wreck one of the last hostile regional rivals to Israel and Saudi Arabia x
-Get Russia and Iran spending money they don't have x
-create a massive bonfire to attract jihadi moths from all over the world to burn in x
-strengthen Kurish bros without looking like we're strengthening Kurdish bro x
-maintain control over the precious juice x

mission accomplished.

Ya gotta admit, though - the US has hardly ever been a safer place to be (when talking about threats from external aggressors). So long as people are fighting amongst themselves, they can't organize against us. Russia seems to have found themselves another 80's Afghan war. There isn't a single ME country that is looking in our direction. Now if we could just get China to focus on someone . . .

The rest of the world, us included, needs to leave the mid east alone. Go as a tourist with a camera, not a soldier with a gun. How they run THEIR country is up to THEM. However, it should be a lesson on what can happen if the general public is dis armed. If all those refugees had a gun, they probably wouldn't be refugees.
