I foolishly keep looking for actual debate, as opposed to an immediate deflection, denial, and stand-down. On what was once ostensibly a debate site, strangely enough. So I tried to argue against the idea that the right wing's non-establishment branch was trying to "return" to constitutional government. It seemed like a topic for actual discussion, silly me, but it was instead labeled a rant and ignored. Rebuttal answered with ad homs instead of discussion.
You don't want to debate, you want to drop a series of quick opinions and duck out. And if I rebut your opinions, I'm an asshole. I get it. Maybe it's too time consuming, or maybe most of us are just burnt on the whole discussion format and instead just want to lob shit at each other, destructively.
