yeah, i'm not sure about laying blame on trump for this just yet. and that includes using limited intelligence -- according to what I linked the plan was originally put forth the day before the election, and approved in december but needed a moonless night; it probably would have gone on with obama as president had the moon been new earlier in the month. and, if they also sent a plane too close, it could have ended exactly the same. obviously, buck stops with the commander in chief, but i don't think "mismanagement boondoggle" or whatever is appropriate for this (with what we know right now), unlike basically everything else he's touched
