i don't know that it is the actual problem. the problem is people inflate things in their head because the idea of billions of dollars is so beyond their experience they think we spend a quarter on nasa, a quarter on foreign aid, a quarter on defense, etc (all of which are overstated) but they are asked this often individually and don't think about them in context of everything else. if you were to guess about something you really don't care deeply about you might make a guess of around that.

i don't think it's that they are all saying that trump is right, the media is wrong. i'm certain there is SOME of that, but it's not f**k half the country. it's mostly just not caring that much and how people answer polls. especially insidiously crafted polls like this one

President Trump needs to be removed from office immediately.

At some point in my day, every day, I stop and have a moment of clarity and realize that The Donald really does control the most powerful military force in history, and he really does decide what happens in the Western world. As a Canuck, there is nothing I can do to stop it, but goddamn guys. There is no other possible outcome, we all know it, it needs to happen sooner rather than later.

Based on what he has done so far, and more specifically the manner in which he does it, it is my firm belief that Donald Trump is undergoing the early stages of dementia. I do not think he is mentally competent to hold office. I despise Pence, possibly even more than The Donald, but at the very least I don't think he is in the midst of a full-blown mental breakdown. I hate to go all soccer mom on you guys, but it is actually really unsafe to allow a mentally ill person to hold that office.

I will be having lots of fun crushing the mental gymnastics in my FB feed on this one. The majority of the under 40 Trump vote was in support of Snowden, but this same group also has put Trump on the mantel, even deity level worship.

My “good” prediction is based on the Law of the Pendulum. Enough Americans, including most independent voters, will be so ready to shed Donald Trump and his little shop of horrors that the 2018 midterm elections are all but certain to be a landslide — no, make that a mudslide — sweep of the House and Senate. If Republicans took both houses in a groundswell of the people’s rejection of Obamacare, Democrats will take them back in a tsunami of protest.
