Actually, its been headline front page on CNN repeatedly. You just keep pretending otherwise for obvious reasons. In fact, even now, most a week later, it's still to be found on the CNN front page, though obviously after this long it's no longer the headline. Which isn't surprising since its just sitting there doing what it and similar ships have been doing for half a century.

the state department (along with several other departments) could recommend rejecting the deal, and under clinton, did not reject the deal

however, never attribute to malice which can be best attributed to stupidity, or laziness. i don't think clinton did a good job -- or much of any job -- at the state department. she never intervened on any committee on foreign investment in the united states (CFIUS) matter in her entire tenure. so she didn't make this deal happen, donald, she was too busy scheming about how she would comeback and win the 2016 presidential campaign to be doing her job
