If nothing else happens we'll just have to see how the Obamacare repeal and replace goes. Medicaid is good out to 2020 if it passes...but ultimately the current draft would be an unmitigated disaster. It would cost more for the older...and provide less assistance to the poor (that's what happens when the program is primarily dictated by age). It would benefit the rich and fails to deliver on promises such as allowing sales across state lines (can't do that through budget reconciliation).

All the so called experts never gave Trump a chance in hell just to get through the primaries. Keep that in mind when making predictions. What gets me is the lack of give a shit by the Dem's in general on what they DNC done to Bernie in the primaries.

In relative terms I'd say we peaked in the 90's. Soviets shit the bed, China was mostly a source for cheap toothbrush manufacture, EU was barely even a thing. In terms of economic, cultural, and military dominance...it was hard to argue against it.
People who grew up watching Happy Days think the 50's were pretty great. But honestly, that was a socially indefensible decade. Depraved. Trump would have been normalsauce back then, instead of an object of derision and disgust.
