He was the best pick from the pool to be picked from. We also decided who would be in that pool. So its all on us. Well, unless the Russians had a hand in it, lol.

For the love of God dude, abandon your naivete about electoral politics... you are too smart for this kind of childish thinking.
This isn't about compromise. It isn't about working together. It isn't about doing what is right for love of country and blah blah. It is a war. The GOP knows this and consequently they control every level of government, and have successfully driven the country waaaaaay right over the past thirty years.
The most tedious part of your perspective is this idea that reason is a particularly important part of electoral politics. It isn't. It is probably the least important part of it.
