Honestly the policy goal of the meeting sounds....dumb. Like it's almost too dumb to be true. I'm fine with the back channel but its intended purpose appears to be rooted in a middle schooler's attempt at playing UN behind the scenes. Why would Russia sever ties with Iran?

I dislike Russian culture TBH. They have very different values than us and lie just as much as Chinese and Indians. Get paid in advance with those three.
I've met many Russians I quite liked, of course, but overall that country is a shithole and it's people aren't much better.
