As usual, where the hell is the UN, NATO, and all that. Its their job to fix crap like that. They should make all of Syria a safe zone for all the refugees that went to Europe or where ever.

NATO wouldn't enter into it as it is a defensive coalition and Syria attacked no member state. the UN is paralyzed by Russia who would veto anything that did not help their ally.

Just a thought but it would show Assad being clever in a nod to Saz' claims...
What if Assad launched the chemical attack to pit Russia against the US because of a fear that Russian/US interests in Syria would align? That they both would seek to remove Assad from power? If Russia has been that indifferent before what would change that now? Especially with Putin at the helm? And Assad goading Trump to attack to do so?
