Considering all the work that's been done by the state post back to back memorial day floods, things are doing great. I know of places that were 4ft under then that hasn't seen anything, and we would be trapped for days in my hood, my wife is literally at HEB right now as I type this.

Those islands would be under a lot less duress if it wasnt depending on the government to say jump and have a shred of common sense. For the "less fortunate"... maybe less iphones and more life straws would do some good.
