It's a brutal sport. Hockey has made a ton of progress in minimizing injuries and the game is faster and better than ever. NFL is not protecting it's products properly.

I remember my first fight. So funny. I was like... 10? We just sat there with our gloves and helmets on and punched each other because we didn't really want to get hurt but honour demanded it.

My first was high school. I was too rattled to really do anything effective. Second was a line brawl at the end of an elimination game in regionals and I didn't do great there either.
Then it was juniors and I had to learn pretty quickly. The scarrig on my knuckles is mostly faded sadly.
