It amazes me that this corporate tax cut wasn't revenue neutral. They could've closed tons of deductions for the corporate side and it wouldn't be near $1.5 Trillion (conservative estimate - this will be a massive failure on the revenue side - probably cost closer to $2 trillion or more). Instead they took away the last deductions for the middle class and are likely to make housing more unaffordable for everybody.

what's SPECIAL about this one is that while Ron Paul and several others talked about it violating the soveringty of the united states http://www.newsweek.com/highway-hell-94645 it was originally proposed in 2002 by then-Texas governor Rick Perry. furthermore it was envisioned to be rather large... "consisting of a 1,200 foot (366 m) wide highway that also carries utilities such as electricity, petroleum, and water, as well as railway track and fiber-optic cables"

anyway, texas has since authorizing it repealed it because apparently it was horrible government with a shadow deep state or something behind it but, what of this idea? a link, straight up the american heartland, mexico to canada, ferrying all sorts of things and people. it might be a bit crazy to talk about a highway the width of four football fields end to end but thinking about a large robust intercontinental transport system like this would be a great boon for all three nations

i think that's a great idea. it'd really help develop the flyover states along it and hopefully start dragging them into 20th century at least.

The smog along this highway would be horrendous. Would it usurp existing freeways or be an entirely new one? Close to homes?
