pompeo's replacement is like the definition of deep state
she ran torture blacksites. she's been undercover for the last 40 years or so, only becoming revealed in the last year when she took up her post as second in command at the CIA.
this doesn't mean she's a bad pick by any means. this just means that if a deep state exists, she is most certainly part of it

Guess it just goes to whether you think Pompeo is going to be Trump's "yes" man or not. I wouldn't be surprised to hear that Pompeo backs his replacement. I think Trump is an utterly horrible judge of character and that's largely borne itself out and that I fully expect Pompeo and Trump to butt heads once policies other than Iran and the DPRK are considered. Tillerson lasted a little over a year. Do we give Pompeo two?
