a girl i used to know tracked me down once, 15 years after i had last seen or heard from her -- or any of our mutual friends. apparently she was pretty much determined to find out what the heck happened to me. she said i seemed like someone who didn't want to be found, but she was able to still figure it out with the limited information i had online and did email one of my email accounts. after like 2 emails about how things were and whatnot apparently she became disinterested and i haven't heard from her since. my point is even someone who has no social media presence can be tracked down to some degree, but only if someone looks (i think some email account had listed my real name somewhere... not anymore though). this is okay, and much better than just putting everything about you out there for the world to see and collect and come up with solutions for
