further the idea that because words are conceivably infinite it follows that stupidity is itself infinite is something so profoundly idiotic it hearkens back to the medical definition of the word

Human sight and hearing is only a small portion of each spectrum. So how could anything within those limited spectrums be infinite? Even the best singers cant vocalize tones beyond the hearing range , both upper and lower levels. Same as humans can't see ultraviolet or infrared light without special equipment. It is interesting how far beyond what humans can see or hear the light and sound spectrums actually go. Sound in space is probably nothing unless the gas concentrations are high enough. But I think its fair to say our solar system is in a quiet zone. I wonder if Mars has a thick enough atmosphere to make sound possible?

infinity of utterances and meanings will NEVER be produced, even if all of intelligent life forms -- i even include you in that -- that ever have or ever will be ever spent their entire life doing nothing but coming up with new utterances and meanings. it's impossible. having infinite choices does not make something infinite. i don't care about the psudeoscientific stuff linguists call to make up a concept to pretend like it's so amazing that any word could be developed. that doesn't make it infinite. further just because there's many ways to describe how the implication that just because there are more than one way to describe a concept that somehow increases human stupidity (outside of that very concept, of course) doesn't in the least make it any less asinine, moronic, harebrained, nonsensical, or vacuous
