If guentzel is 6 4 220 and Carlson is 5 11 185, carlson doesnt leave the hospital for a week.

And the league obviously wont even look at the guentzel hit.

So the goal is to punish good hitters to make the game safer. Thays fine but they should stop pretending it's targeting types of hits only. It's not. It's also targeting types of players - big strong physical ones.

So just take the hitting out of the sport entirely if this is what they want. That makes more sense than this bizarro world where hitting js allowed but you better not be too good at it or big

with vegas' win last night, the wild are now officially the worst all time record for playoff success in the western conference (again). the only team in the NHL with less success is the columbus blue jackets, who haven't even won a series. i mean, at least we've done that!

I'm done spending money on the NHL. The reffing and enforcement is now totally arbitrary and materially detracts from the sport. That Stralman hit would go unaddressed and Wilson's clean hit gets a 3 game suspension is a bad joke and a black eye on the sport.
