Canada won't back down on this and will meet every tariff with additional tariffs. If we have to nuke our own economy for the next two years, we will. We will work in tandem with Mexico, the UK and the EU to make sure that our tariffs are focused hurt on red states and those who support Trump. This is extremely unfortunate for our economy but it would be political suicide for our leaders to do anything else, plus it would simply allow Trump to make further demands.

Worth pointing out that Trump has now made Chinese steel and aluminium more competitive than his own allies steel and aluminum. I guess this is Trumps and Sazs idea of confronting China - burning your bridges, sabotaging the WTO, NAFTA and the international Western alliance, while helping China make more money. All on tenuous national security grounds that any four year old would recognize as a morons attempt to apply pressure over other deals.

I suspect both Canada and the US will be losing several hundred thousand jobs over the short term. Hard to say if this will last or if adults are going to step in and get this figured out.

There are only two little issues with all of this investigating:

1. There is nothing illegal about paying a hooker hush money.
2. There is no such crime as "collusion".

So even if the Russians really did give trump dirt on Hillary (which obviously didn't happen or else it wouldn't have taken over a year to find the evidence) it's not illegal for them to do so.

The only illegal things actually going on are open ended investigations. Our justice system doesn't work like that. Nobody on this forum could survive over a year with the FBI breaking into their house and saying they were there to find evidence of "criminal behavior." You have to investigate a specific thing based on specific evidence. You don't just dig until you find something. That ain't how the game is played.

There was no evidence and the collusion investigation morphed into him paying off some hooker. Obviously collusion is dead. The investigation needs to end so the country can move on. It's beyond ridiculous at this point. NOBODY has been charged with a single crime that had to do with the trump campaign.

Aren't there laws on campaign contributions from foreigners?

If foreign agents were coordinating with a US politician for electoral gain, this isnt something you think we should look into?

What makes you say Mueller has no evidence? Are you a member of the investigation with a position that entitles you to review the work of each different division of the investigation? If not, you're speaking out of turn and as a partisan not a logical person. Nobody knows what Mueller has.

Because if he HAD evidence he would have moved forward. He's already said Trump isn't a target. That means Trump did nothing wrong. With all of the leaks going on, if there was real evidence then it would be coming out. There is nothing. He can't indict Trump anyway. The constitution makes it clear, the only way a sitting president can be indicted is if they are impeached and convicted and removed from office first.

And "collusion" isn't against the law, whatever the hell that even means. The whole investigation is dead with 3 strikes.

Strike 1. You can't indict a sitting president.
Strike 2. Mueller already said Trump isn't a target
Strike 3. "Collusion" isn't a crime anyway.

(2) Mueller would have "moved forward" with what?

(3) is an indictment the only way this investigation can be meaningful?

(4) what part of he constitution makes the indictment point clear?
