Was being snide. Executive executes the law as it sees fit - it has tons of discretion. It may choose to execute laws in differing manners, setting different priorities, etc.

Like a beat cop - they prioritize their time based on the needs of the precinct and the commanding officers.

They don't have to separate children from their parents. Moreover, I would think that creating detention facilities, closed down walmarts, tent cities, etc to accommodate this new load of illegal immigrants would be cost prohibitive considering...that you could just f**k let the child chill with the parents. Oh, and if it's asylum seekers that you don't like...then why don't you just say we're not accepting asylum seekers anymore? Eh?

Oh that's right...because that would probably not go over well with Trump's base either. Because the news is about to put all those people on blast and show children being separated from their parents in order to teach everybody trying to get into the US a lesson. Can't let them "infest" the country eh?

Dude, the way this has been handled (even if you agree with the policy itself) marks a very deep low for this country. Trump is literally slinging epithets to dehumanize these people. This is f**k terrible.

Part of the problem is the ones coming illegal knowing what will happen when the get here, and they come anyway. What about the minor children secretly placed by the Obama Admin, or the un accompanied minor children that show up every day?? Many families are ripped apart before they even get here. The pathetic part is the meals and beds some of those kids get, although confined, is probably the highest standard of living some of those kids ever had in their life. But the reality of finite makes you ask, As a nation not wanting to become a shit hole itself, how much can we absorb?
