the entire thing is only because he's a delusional narcissist who thinks he actually won a majority of the vote and will not actually entertain anything that contradicts that fantasy. like that's really it. it's not daddy putin -- i mean, that might be part of it. but the core of the issue is he doesn't want his legitimacy questioned. even if literally everyone says "yeah you're the president, we're not saying you're not or anything, but russia still did try to f**k with us" he doesn't want to give the idea any credence. so now he stands in direct in contradiction of all 16 of US intelligence agencies, he stands and basically apologizes to our enemy nation for what they did

i hope putin is loving this shit because it's highly temporary. american-russian relations are going to nosedive to cold war levels with anyone but trump or some guy named dimitri in the whitehouse

I'm just burnt on repeatedly saying things like "shameful" "disgraceful" "humiliating" etc. What's the f**k point. I'm just at a loss over Republicans (and the rest of that base) who bend over backwards to excuse, normalize, or outright deny the reality of these events. It's damn near traitorous. There just doesn't seem to be a threshold.
