Social media is always a factor yes, and most of those people were at stormfront. My post doesn’t mean it’s not prevalent elsewhere or used as recruiting tools. ISIS used twitter to convince people to join them.

the verbal assurance to the USSR --which no longer exists -- was "we cannot forsee situations where we would expand". this is not a guarantee. this is a truthful statement at the time. times change, like the USSR no longer exists. when that situation changed, then the whole thing changed
