watched a Frontline regarding TBI and the NFL last night. It was interesting to see the reaction of these guys as their brain essentially froze up, particularly the frustration, fear, and agitation. Franz (PBUH) wrote a rather articulate post regarding consciousness and the human brain, specifically how TBIs would completely change a person's personality and how consciousness is entirely limited to the function of the brain. With these ball players though, it seemed that a measure of their consciousness remained despite their brains shutting down, they were aware of it, and it scared/frustrated them to no end.
