What's the Dem's plan for their Kavanaugh hail-mary?

The Dem's made it plain they would oppose any nomination, regardless of who or their qualifications. The big loser here is the people. Personally, I don't have any sympathy for people that make bad decisions that result in bad things happing to them. Nobody died so it wasn't that bad anyway. I want to pet the big fluffy kitty, the fact its a lion shouldn't matter. lol.

Republicans: "We need to try and poke as many holes in Ford's story about the supposed sexual assault as possible - get an attorney!"

Also Republicans: "We don't want to poor Judge to have to testify, given his problems with depression and anxiety. We hope he can rest well at home and take him at his word without needing to look any further."

Gee, I wonder if those problems with depression and anxiety come from years of regret of his behavior of raping women? Guess we won't find out.

They want an investigation, but sat on the notice letter for weeks. Oh look, major stuff here, lets keep it a secret. Those idiots are even dumber then I give them credit for. And what the hell is the FBI supposed to investigate anyway, a 35 yr old he said she said story. Obstruction, just like they said they would do. I wonder what their line would be if a woman was the nominee?

well it was a sworn statement that the party never existed. everyone named by ford as attending this party except for ford swore that they never attended such a party under threat of perjury. i'm not sure what purpose bringing them in to say that would be unless it was to pick apart everything else in their life that had nothing to do with the non-existent party (and of course it would, since there's nothing else to say about a not-party). ford cannot account for how she as someone who couldn't drive got to this house or where it was or whose house it was. together with the calendar and the sworn statements i think it's quite clear kavanaugh wasn't the person who she thinks did that. memories are fickle things and she could easily replace one person for another, more famous person, who she barely knew growing up. but like i said, he was so angry and partisan it just wasn't supreme court material and i would say no because of that, not because i think in any way does anything, including ford's statements, support the idea that kavanaugh assaulted anyone

On one hand, the incomplete testimony of a woman recalling an event in the past, which cannot be corroborated.

On the other hand, the testimony of a man who has lied to Congress, under oath, at least a half-dozen times.

Galt, this is clearly personal for you. Not sure why somebody decided to accuse you of sexual assault, but you shouldn't let this impact your impartiality.
