The US healthcare system is absolutely incredible.

It exports technology across the world, saving hundreds of millions of lives. The companies who make American medicine charge Americans a thousand times more than they do a foreigner. At every level, it benefits me and the rest of the world in a way that cannot be understated. Thank you, America, for paving the way with medicine and liberty.

America needs a national insurance program. Period. Insurance companies create pools of risk. A country with a national insurance program is a pool, that has a f**k of leverage. Stop being retarded about it.

I would blame both liberals conservatives for continuing To allow lobby aka bribery to determine policy. Its true lobby doesn't actually make policy, but it sure as hell influences what that policy is. Its actually amazing and pathetic they still allow it to continue.

It's an example, Galt, but yes, tech companies are rapidly expanding or moving operations into Canada for these exact reasons. A population as educated with workers you can pay in CAD at half the rates of the American equivalent, plus the healthcare thing. It's why Collision moved from San Fran to Toronto, why Sidewalk Labs moved, why Toronto for shortlisted for Amazon HQ 2.0 (I don't think we'll get it though, it is across the border and the market isn't nearly as big), why Ubisoft, Microsoft, etc. are opening shop all over the country.
