Matt Whitaker is fully acting as acting AG. He can't actually be AB or acting AG until he is confirmed. He was working as the chief of staff for the previous AG, a position that did not require being confirmed. The deputy AG, who was previously confirmed, could be acting AG, but not this guy. If he tries to fire Mueller it's a legit constitutional crisis.
