At this point, Turkey seems as likely to slide Axis as hold up with NATO. Such as it is. It's a heavy-hitting NATO power that is openly jumping the fence, and we're not talking about it.
As for Canada, it seems to be generational. The solid allies are the older folks...who are still largely running the circus up there, and remember the US as Cold Warriors and realize that the current disaster is temporary. But the younger generations who actually have to contemplate physically fighting and who grew up with their formative impressions of their supposed ally shaped by Bush II and a decade of caskets returning from Afghanistan? And who now have all their ugliest cliche-fueled assumptions about America confirmed by trump? I wouldn't give them too much credit as far as canon fodder value goes. Can't say I blame them, either. The US has gone entirely bipolar and it's bullshit trying to figure out which America they are dealing with and not being able to trust anything we say will hold even as long as the current administration.
