I think what people haven't come to terms with yet is that Trump has surrounded himself with people that desire the ends but don't yet see the means. So when Trump does some truly off the wall shit, poor policy is implemented, and the ends are then somewhat met these "true believers" then look at the alternative from the Dems and decide they can stomach Trump.
They want the power and they'll do what it takes to keep it.
We are at the beginning of the endgame. You don't need a smart Trump - you just need this one. Everybody has been overestimating the people around him and underestimating his ability to beat his subordinates into submission.
Look at the apolitical appointees and then look at the politicians. Shit is rotten to the core.
