Sigh. What a mess.
Iran did a bunch of shit, we did a bunch of shit in return, and then we killed one of Iran's top generals/strategists. Now it seems the entire Shiite community in Iraq and Iran has united against the US, the Iraqi parliament has voted 170-0 to expel all foreign forces, Iran has officially totally abandoned the 2015 JCPOA, and Trump is threatening sanctions on Iraq if they expel the US.
That guy deserved to die but I think this played right into Iran's hands. Millions out supporting the Iranian government today. Cyber and more asymmetrical warfare are nigh.
And Trump is sending more troops.
Do we have any thoughts on this or are we all just kinda to the point where the answer is "what did you expect with Trump?"

Looks like the military is board with leaving Iraq and redeploying elsewhere in the region. Apparently its already started.
Win/Win for Trump here if true - kills dude and gets US out of Iraq. And then Iran gets to deal with ISIS and instability on its border.
