So to recap: Trump drone strikes Iran’s number 2 guy for no reason. Iranians retaliate by shooting their own airliner out of the sky by mistake, the very same crime Iran has been lording over the US for decades. Literally no Americans have been killed in any of this.

Lmao short of some disaster it looks like trump straight up punked the shit out of Iran. Just goes to show you there is one thing that all good presidents have and that Trump has in spades - luck! Now rub his blond troupe and make a wish.

people on reddit were claiming within an hour of news of this happening it was a missile. a video was posted of the plane going down in flames. and then after the iranians claimed it was engine failure, within 2 hrs (they subsequently walked that one back), i felt it was pretty much confirmed Iran knew exactly what had happened. this was just like r/worldnews

what a BANNER WEEK for iran

their top general is assassinated
60 people are trampled to death in said general's funeral
no casualties in the retaliatory strikes for said assassination (but it could have been planned that way so not really counting this against them, but in total, it makes the united states look to be run by comparatively competent leadership)
and then to top it off they killed 175 innocent third parties by mistake
