Reminder: Bernie Sanders is the only person vying to be President who has properly grasped the severity of the situation. He is also the only person who will institute the kind of economic aid that will be necessary very soon. Every other candidate will spend trillions of dollars bailing out the bloated, traitorous, debt-ridden corporations, while giving a pittance to families.

We are collectively pretending that this is something that can be addressed in a few weeks, and that the economy is somehow going to be saved by playing hot potato with the EU.

It's time to pay our dues. Let the big corporations fail. Since we're taking this hit, might as well get it over with. God knows the Boomers will never allow for a proper correction, but it is clearly obviously needed. Of course Hero Millennials will take the brunt of the punishment, but we've known that since 2008, and we can't let the Boomers win.

Panic has set in. Cash and liquid assets are king.

These stimulus checks won't do much. People will save it, pay down debt, or pay bills (rent/mortgage). It won't be stimulative at all.

Government needs to take extreme action and put a moratorium on all debts, shelter in place the entire country, and become communist for a month. Utilities, food, etc should all still be available.

But I feel like this will be drawn out and we'll see a very slow recovery because these half-wits don't know what the hell they're doing.

Equities markets look chummy compared to credit and fx. Some kind of f**k afoot. We will know for sure when fed starts buying

Probably. I'm still expecting several days of losses in equities if they don't close down trading temporarily. The data itself will be bleak enough to cause a sell off - the coronavirus does its own sort of panic. Our markets aren't made for this.

DOW could easily drop back down to 10,000 or less. And if those checks are issued and the data shows the effect it doesn't have on the economy expect another foot to drop.
