Care to cite where the government gained the Constitutional authority to prevent American citizens from trading with whom they want?
The power was given by two pieces of legislation, both of which are in more-or-less direct conflict with the Tenth Amendment.
The reason they haven't been challenged is because sanctions can be effective.
Unfortunately, the United States decides to open Pandora's Box, and now it doesn't want anyone else to have these weapons. Except if they like you, in which case, it's cool. That sounds like a fair and just reason for murdering Iranian civilians.
