The market seems to be ignoring the still declining employment numbers in the same report. Tomorrow and Friday might be more revelatory but the seasonal hiring of teachers might offset that as well.
Fascinating how one report can drive so much denial.

In 2008 we didn't have something like Robinhood, either. 10 times as many people trading there than on E-trade. 13 million accounts. They say retail investors don't really matter...but at that sort of scale and with that little knowledge, there has to be real effect from all that. When trading gets dumbed down to such a crazy low info level, you know people are going to get wrecked. Especially as they've been conditioned for years now and rewarded by buying every dip through the Long Summer. Fun till the inevitable rug pull.
