as with any authoritarian regime, support withers after the leader is gone. this is kinda unique in the fact the US still is a democracy and managed to vote the authoritarian out. the GOP is cracking open and going to eat itself. they f**k turned on Tucker f**k Carlson for daring to question where some evidence was of entirely outlandish conspiracy theories regarding the election involving dead communists, among other things.
if the boycott of georgia election gathers steam among Trumpists and the Senate is lost for GOP there will almost immediate splitting of the party. I can see someone like Collins jumping ship to become an "Independent" and then caucus with the Ds. if the Senate remains in GOP hands, Harris MUST break the Majority Leader's grip. forcing votes on Covid relief over McConnell's wishes will then be the cause of the split as the majority leadership is no longer in control, and then I think they will lose the majority control anyway as the rats scurry while Trump torpedos the SS GOP. plus McConnell's face will be meme worthy
