Trump Presidency v2.0 - Will It Happen?

Given Biden is now about as popular as a fart in a space suite, and his VP even worse, what is the likelihood of Trump running for the Presidency in 2024 - especially given the fact that he is openly canvassing the idea?

Is trump still as popular in the Republican party as the media is making him out to be? Or is he just a bogeyman now being pushed but with no real chance?

Interested to hear what Americans on the ground think as opposed to just news articles.

Trump is going to win in 2024. I would say he is easily the odds on favourite, over 50% chance at this point. Dems truly truly have no one. Their best shot to win would be to BEG Michelle Obama to step up and run, she would dominate Trump, but any other Dem will lose.

Trump only runs if he thinks it's a sure thing. And honestly, if he runs it's a sure thing. Biden's supporters don't actually give a shit about Biden. They just want someone in there who isn't Trump. Trump's supporters on the other hand are a straight-up cult of personality. They worship him. Though they be an annoyingly loud minority, they are fired up and will line up in droves to vote for somebody. A Biden supporter only ever votes against somebody.

I wrote Biden off when Kabul fell.

He got the additional relief bill passed through Congress and he got an infrastructure bill through Congress in his first year. He's already ahead of Trump's entire term (because the TCJA was an absolute failure/hogwash).

If he gets the US into what was formerly known as TPP that would also be good. He's not even halfway through his 2nd year yet.

The bar is incredibly low but a lot of the hysterics around the Biden admin are pretty hysterical and not of his making/his fault.
