Now that we've settled that...LAWYERS ARE NOT PARASITES...they're a living tool, like an attack dog or one of those dolphins that finds mines. Remember: LAWYERS DON'T SUE PEOPLE, PEOPLE SUE PEOPLE.
Saz also had a great point, young people don't choose to go to an institution likely to make them mentally ill or chemically dependent unless there was a reason. True, only about half of graduates enter the legal field, but a JD still opens other doors. Most of my friends with JDs have better jobs than those without, even if they aren't in the legal field. The market wants the over-educated (shrug) don't know why.
