I forget which is the technical side of the brain, you know, the whole left brain/right brain thing... but people who can use both easily tend to be very successful.

Two of my friends are literally genuises. One is my best friend and the other is an acquaintance. Anyways, they are both comfortable using both sides of their brain. The one, my best friend, runs two businesses, an incredibly successful custom Harley motorcycle shop and an incredibly successful website design company. He plays guitar, is an amazing artist, can write at a university level, etc. He can do it all. People have been telling me that I'm smart my whole life, and I feel like a dumbass next to this guy.

The other deals pot and can make anything. Anything. I've seen him make professional grade knives, decks, guitars, clothing, guns, props for movie sets, photorealistic paintings, etc. He is a crazy musician, and has managed to buy a really nice house and do well for himself just by selling pot (for thirty years) and doing side jobs. Very different personality from my other friend, but they are both capable of doing things most people have to choose between.

I know this is sort of unrelated, but I think it's really interesting.
