Doesn't this sound remarkably like a similar argument from a while back, except in that case it wasn't small businesses, it was mega corporations?
Something about how, even though they're sitting on record profits--because that HAS been the case under Obama--they're waiting to hire because they're afraid of... Obama, I guess.
Yet now mysteriously it's small business owners.
I always thought that it was a hoot because a) it was a pre-emptive excuse for why they're not hiring despite the profits (shifting it to: because the Kenyan Muslim is president!) and b) demand = jobs. You don't hire people just to spend your own money, you hire people to keep up with demand. Obviously when the economy craters, demand goes down.
