It's Canada. I wouldn't worry about it.
This is a place where any complaint is news worthy, or at the very least, whine worthy.
If there's nothing new to whine about, they'll whine that there's nothing new to whine about.
Or that there's no one new or old to whine about.
The bill is racist? I wonder who the victim was or is?
I don't think anyone cared.

Nobody cares about Canada.

Rather than random people doing things, they should have stuck with the Queen on the front and a significant Canadian on the back. The way Band of England notes are designed.
Those are my principles, and if you don't like them... well, I have others.

The fact this is worrying them so much, does however speak to the success of the Canadian multicultural (or whatever you want to call it, multi-ethnic sounds like your talking about Yugoslavia or something though) project.
Oh course its forced and silly. However, it wouldn't be in this place unless it had done a somewhat descent job of getting people to live together without sectarian violence, which is always harder than you think.
