I don't like Oregon's mail-in system... doesn't give you the feeling of contribution that a polling booth does... I remember how exciting it was when my parents did it in Washington State...
but... there won't be any recounts needed in this election... there are no leads in critical states that are questionable... and Miami-Dade isn't a factor because Florida isn't needed.

Er, I am not a lawyer, but I don't see how being able to set electors somehow translates into having the right to administer the elections themselves.

And actually i mistated, Article 1 deals with the legislature so thats congresstional elections. Article 2 is the executive so presidential election rules. States could appoint electoral college votes proportionally, or winner take all. They can set registration dates and polling times etc. I'm not even sure if the state has to hold a vote. I think the legislature could simply decide amongst itself who to give the electoral votes to (although this would never happen since it is so undemocratic).
