Hah, federal drug enforcement is about to get interesting. Medical Marijuana was always bullshit wedge strategy. This on the other hand is a mandate to grown and then smoke your own pot. 54 colorado and 56 washington, those are big yes votes. Forcing a clear wrangle between state and federal law.

Also interesting is how, in a few months. It starts to effect the drug trade, given that local cops are simply going to stop looking for small grow ops... so why would you ever go to a dealer... ever again? Furthermore, The day may come when the DEA arrests the last actual 'dealer' and starts arresting 'normal' folks growing it in their sheds. That'll be interesting.

Hell, gay marriage then the pots. Could be a good couple of years for the supreme court.

It won't go to the SCOTUS for a while. 05 was just yesterday in SCOTUS-time and only a few states have changed since. Now, a major underpinning of the Raich decision was that some states still have it illegal, and this rationale is undermined with every Colorado or Washington.

Also in WA you can't grow it, can only purchase from state-sanctioned stores.
