To be fair, he did say that he wouldn't intrude on state laws. A lot of these dispensaries divert marijuana to the illegal drug trade to make additional profits which is against the law. So I don't think he technically went against his word. Let's see what happens when the law explicitly makes it legal.

No, he blatantly disregarded his 2008 campaign promise. That's all there is to that.
