Read the GOP platform from the 1980 GOP convention.. Remember Reagan, the man who started the modern conservative movement was the GOP candidate that year.. Then read the GOP platform from this years GOP convention..
They're day and night. The 1980 platform was almost liberal compared to what the GOP fanatics passed this year.
I know the platforms usually mean little.. But it does show the agenda and mindset of the delegates.. The difference between the 2 is very telling to what the GOP was in 1980, and what it is now.
