You've got to stand for something, or you'll fall for anything. Changing with the wind for votes is sleazy political crap. Why change for votes? If you feel a certain way about something, for instance if you think killing babies is wrong, no amount of votes (or lack thereof) should change that viewpoint. That is, if you have any true integrity.

But considering that the parties have switched over time, this is all a moot point.

I don't care what party they are from or what their beliefs are. Integrity comes with sticking to your true beliefs even when the political tide is against that. Their point of view is irrelevant to their level of integrity.

The country is changing. Anyone who doesn't see that is blinded by their own politics and/or ideology.. As Dick Morris said: 'This isn't your father's America anymore'.. Every 4 years the % of white voters has been decreasing.. It was around 78% in 2000..This year it's going to be around 72%.. JUST playing to the white voters ideologies and wants isn't going to work anymore.

If the Republicans don't want to change.. GOOD!! Then don't.. I'm sure there will be local and state governments that will still be Republican strongholds..

But on the national stage without some change, lets see how many votes that integrity gets them.
