I agree but again this brings us back to the original problem. Rich as its defined by them is in reference to not how much their household makes but to how much the next wealthier family makes. It's an improper way of measuring wealth or whether one is "rich."

You'r describing wealthy where money means nothing, for the most part.
Rich isn't wealthy. Basically you've divided the world into poor, super wealthy, and everyone else.
It makes no sense to lump people making $50k a year with people making $250k a year. The lifestyle is vastly different.
