Here is why we really don't want to go down this road. People are talking about "states" going one way or the other, but this tells a different story. Especially if you consider that most of that red is armed and much of that blue is not.

Most of that red is empty space, as well.
Its a wash in any case, as the metro areas and agro areas are codependent.
