Huntsman would be perfect for the job (it'd also make him less likely to get the GOP nod in 2016 and thereby create a tough challenger for the Dem candidate). Rice is too institutionalized. Hagel would be interesting, he's a really accomplished guy and probably about as independent and relatively ethical as they come. Kerry is right out.*
*(giggle) maybe they can make him SecDef.

as far as i remember she was pretty popular as a senator despite being a reverse carpetbagger. why would she have to focus on support from ny?
