Iran loading fuel rod into reactor

I'm not an expert on nuclear facilities but my understanding is that a bomb that could destroy the facility would also likely destroy the rods. So the chance of a meltdown would be small.

However, I would hope that if there was an attack, it would be one in which the facility was overtaken - not bombed. Regardless how small the chance, bombing a nuclear facility just wreaks of recklessness.

Control rods are suspended electromagnetically, so if the power were to fail they fall automatically and snuff out the reaction. At least, that's assuming the reactor isn't hit so hard as to actually send everything flying about in half a million pieces...

...and that's also assuming the Iranians are least that competent. "Electromagnets? What are those? We have team of camels!"
