Anyone else find it oddly ironic that the most socialist (not a bad word - just farther along that road than, say, Alaska) state in the Union has the highest rate of disproportionate income? I mean, they have the 4th highest non-Federal tax burden and the most intrusive government (by a long shot), yet they also have the highest wealth gap - the single thing that socialist programs seek to eliminate.
(Please - I'm not saying "socialist" as in "ra-ra-communism-grrrr". Medicaid, Medicare, SS - they are all socialist programs. And, they are needed in some form or other. It's just a descriptive term.)
