What's wrong with review of redistricting?

That doesn't make much sense. Why automatically review redistricting in states that don't have an extensive history of disenfranchising voters through redistricting?

Review in all 50 states would be more costly and less narrowly tailored. It would be a greater intrusion into states rights and an expansion of federal influence and spending.

Jurisdictions can get out of the automatic review via a bailout provision in section 4. If they can't get out under this, they don't deserve to. Look it up. It's not just what racist great grandparents did.

And either way states rights end when states violate federal rights. There is no state right to violate the constitution.
