It's a matter of democracy, if the current form of government is involved in subverting it, well then it's just time for it to be replaced with something that will conform to the will of the people.

I love how the UN is suddenly "them" when it's something that's perceived as detrimental to the US population. Nevermind the US government is the strongest voice with the most pull in the organization and they are at the origin of many of the international drug laws and restrictions. It's obviously a nebulous international conspiracy to take away sovereignty from the US.

I don't really get the anti-UN sentiment. Especially based off issues like countries with poor human rights records being involved. The sad reality is many countries have a poor record on human rights, and if we want a truly international forum in which we can set norms and encourage cooperation, then we need to allow in such nations.

Besides the US has a terrible record on human rights so let's not pretend we have the moral high ground here.
