Staying in NYC for Thanksgiving. Got some family here. We discussed doing a restaurant but then somehow we settled on doing homecooked instead, so wish me luck with crabby inlaws and senile aunts at Thanksgiving dinner in the confines of an NYC apartment

I get to break in the new oven that was finally installed this morning. Been without for about 3 weeks. Kitchen remodel is 95% done so I'm good to go. Sons are here, parents are coming over, Sister, her daughters and her current man-friend will be here also. Only sad note is my daughter will not be here for the first time ever.

Btw all my folks are insisting that they absolutely must go to the macy's parade tomorrow morning. Parades are the worst thing ever and there is no way I'm going, so I'll be chilling at home by myself tomorrow morning if any of you brits or whoever wanna chat.

They dont celebrate Thanksgiving here but there are several hotels offering Thanksgiving turkey dinners with their massive buffets, gonna treat myself over to it.
